Boston, MA - October 4, 2011 - Stavis Seafoods, a leading international importer, exporter and distributor of fresh and frozen seafood, today announced that Ruth Levy has been promoted to Chief Business Officer focused on developing new business channels for the company. Levy, who previously served as Stavis Seafoods' Chief Operating Officer, will lead the recently developed National Sales Team and expand Stavis' reach in chain restaurants and retail outlets. Levy's vast experience in sales and product and business development will be invaluable as Stavis grows its ability to serve these markets.

Ruth's experience in the seafood industry spans 31 years and her expertise in marketing, operations, buying and sales has helped Stavis grow and expand since she first joined the company in 1988. Her first position at Stavis was as a highly successful sales manager. Since then, she has been promoted to lead marketing and new business development and eventually took on the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer in 2005.
Ruth and her National Sales Team will focus on bringing seafood solutions to chain restaurants and retail outlets utilizing the wide range of Stavis' seafood products available as well as the numerous options open to them. Stavis has always provided a bridge between producers and the marketplace and the National Sales Team will enhance this ability and serve as a key to the future growth of the company.
