IQF Bay Scallops are processed from farm raised Chinese Bay Scallops and are available year round. These scallops are grown from the same species as Nantucket Bay Scallops. They are processed with sodium tripolyphosphate; and must be called a 25% Water Added Scallop product. Unlike Scallop "Cocktails", Boston Pride IQF Bay Scallops are 100% product of China, and are very consistent quality.

   IQF Bay Scallops are believed to be more flavorful than Sea Scallops. They are delicious and adaptable to many cooking preparations. Whether served as an appetizer or as a main course, they are easy to prepare. They can be used in a variety of dishes due to their texture and sweet flavor and are best broiled, steamed, sautéed, fried or baked. Boston Pride IQF Bay Scallops are a wonderful item to feature on a menu or in a retail case.

IQF Bay Scallops come in a variety of sizes. IQF Bay Scallops are packed in 5 pound bags; 30 pound master case and are available in 40/60ct, 60/80ct, and 80/100ct per pound. Smaller sized bay scallops are primarily sold to processors. Larger sized bay scallops are sold to retail and foodservice.
